A real person answers in under 60 seconds. You pay the plumber directly — never this dispatch service.
Call the Dispatch LineWhat Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember your actions and preferences between pages and visits. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and pixel tags, and we refer to all of them as “cookies” here.
We use far fewer cookies than a typical content site. There is no advertising network on this site, no data broker tag, and no cross-site behavioral advertising tracker.
The Categories We Use
- Strictly necessary. Required for the site to load and stay secure, and for administrators to log in. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
- Analytics. Aggregate statistics about which pages are read and where visitors arrive from, so we can tell whether a page actually answers a real plumbing question. Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Site Kit, is the analytics provider on this site.
- Preferences. Small choices such as dismissed notices, if we add them.
- Advertising. We do not currently run an advertising or remarketing tag on this site. If we add one, we will update this policy and list it here before it goes live.
Cookies We Set
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another in aggregate reporting | 2 years |
_ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics 4 | Maintains session state for Analytics 4 | 2 years |
_gid | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors over a shorter window | 24 hours |
wp-settings-* | This website (WordPress) | Remembers interface preferences; only meaningful inside the admin area | 1 year |
wordpress_sec_* | This website (WordPress) | Keeps an administrator’s login session secure | Session (staff only) |
Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for up to 14 months, and we do not enable Google signals or advertising-personalization features that connect analytics to advertising profiles.
How to Control Cookies
- Browser controls: every major browser lets you block third-party cookies, delete existing cookies, and clear data on exit. Blocking strictly necessary cookies can break parts of the site.
- Google Analytics opt-out: install Google’s official browser add-on, which blocks Analytics everywhere you browse.
- Global Privacy Control: a GPC signal from your browser is treated, on this site, as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information. We honor it. Details on our Privacy Choices page.
- Do Not Track: browser DNT signals are not standardized; because we do not track users across sites for advertising, there is nothing further for DNT to switch off.
Third-Party Privacy Policies
The analytics provider on this site is Google. Its handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Our hosting and security providers process technical data on our behalf under contract.
How This Fits With Our Privacy Policy
This Cookie Policy is part of our Privacy Policy. Cookies are one of the ways website information is collected, and your rights and choices — access, deletion, correction, opt-out of sale or sharing — apply to cookie data in the same way. Call data from the dispatch line is described in the Privacy Policy.
